UPDATE: Tyrone Tracy on Friday cleared the concussion protocol, so he will play Sunday against Washington.
Kicker Greg Joseph underwent an MRI on Friday that determined he has an oblique injury. He won’t play Sunday. The Giants will go with Jude McAtamney. An undrafted rookie on the practice squad, McAtamney will make his NFL debut after spending the past two seasons at Rutgers.
Joseph has been the Giants’ kicker for the past six games. He replaced Graham Gano, who landed on injured reserve after hurting his hamstring in the Week 2 loss at Washington. It’s not clear when Gano will be able to return. He is eligible to come off IR now, since he has missed four games.
Gano popped up on the injury report the day before that first Washington game, with a groin issue. But he didn’t have an injury designation for the game, and the Giants opted to play him. Then he hurt his hamstring while chasing down a returner on the opening kickoff.
Here is the Giants’ full final injury report for Sunday:
Out: P Jamie Gillan (left hamstring), K Greg Joseph (oblique)
Doubtful: WR Bryce Ford-Wheaton (Achilles)
Questionable: LB Ty Summers (ankle)
These notable injured players will play Sunday: CB Cor’Dale Flott (groin), CB Adoree’ Jackson (neck), LG Jon Runyan (foot), C John Michael Schmitz (calf), and PR Ihmir Smith-Marsette (ankle).
Flott, Jackson, and Schmitz were limited all three days in practice this week. Runyan practiced fully Wednesday, then was limited the next two days. Smith-Marsette was limited the final two days after not practicing Wednesday.

The 2-6 Giants — losers of three straight — are back home Sunday against the Commanders, who they lost to in Week 2.
So which Giants won’t play Sunday, as they try to improve to 1-4 at MetLife Stadium?
Here’s a look at where things stand on the injury front for coach Brian Daboll’s team, with the final injury report coming later Friday:
The Giants’ most notable injuries are, in no particular order: punter Jamie Gillan (left hamstring), backup left tackle Josh Ezeudu (knee), punt returner Ihmir Smith-Marsette (ankle), running back Tyrone Tracy (concussion), cornerback Cor’Dale Flott (groin), backup cornerback Adoree’ Jackson (neck), center John Michael Schmitz (calf), and left guard Jon Runyan (foot).
Gillan didn’t practice Wednesday or Thursday. Ezeudu progressed to limited participant after not practicing Wednesday. So did Smith-Marsette and Tracy. Flott, Jackson, and Schmitz were limited both days. And Runyan on Thursday popped up on the injury report, as a limited participant.
Gillan has missed three straight games, Jackson two straight. Flott was sidelined Monday night in Pittsburgh. And the other guys (Ezeudu, Smith-Marsette, Tracy, Schmitz, and Runyan) are nursing injuries coming out of that game.
Before Friday’s practice, Daboll said Gillan is the only player who has been ruled out at this point. Daboll is hopeful Tracy will clear the concussion protocol in time for Sunday, because he is in the final stage of the protocol. He said Flott is trending toward playing against the Commanders.
Daboll said he has no concerns about Runyan’s “sore” foot. It seems he also isn’t worried about Schmitz.
